Special measures | COVID-19

We look forward to welcoming you to Camping de la Pointe-Taylor. The COVID-19 pandemic is pushing us to function differently this summer at the campsite, and we apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience.

To protect the health of camper families and their children, as well as that of our employees, we have implemented a series of exceptional measures, which we invite you to consult by clicking on the following link: Special measures – COVID-19

The Taylor Point Camping is a camping for recreational vehicles and tents with 119 spaces, and is located 3 km from downtown New Richmond. Users can choose various service options on site and benefit from the numerous tourist attractions and facilities in the surrounding area.

Reception Desk

  • From June 3th to June 18th 2020

    • Friday and Saturday : from 9 am to 9 pm ((except June 5, 6, 12 and 13, when reception will close at 8 p.m.)
    • Sunday to Thursday : from 8 am to 6 pm
  • From June 19th to September 2st 2020

    • Everyday from 9 am to 9 pm
  • From September 2nd to September 27th 2020

    • Friday and Saturday : from 9 am to 8 pm
    • Sunday to Thursday : from 9 am to 6 pm

Getting There

The Taylor Point Camping is located at 149, boulevard Perron Est in New Richmond, in the Baie-des-Chaleurs, Gaspésie.

Coming from the West on road 132, get to the New Richmond roundabout and take the first fork leading to downtown New Richmond (Cyr road). Drive to the very end of Cyr road and turn left onto Perron boulevard. Driving through  Henri A. Leblanc bridge, you will see the sea on one side and Petite-Cascapédia river on the other. Get by the Taylor Point Park and drive a couple hundred meters more. The camping is on your right, seaside.

Coming from the East on road 132, take the fork to boulevard Perron East, a few kilometers after Caplan’s village limits. Drive 5 minutes. The camping is on your left. If you miss boulevard Perron, just continue driving on the 132 to the roundabout and follow the instructions above for people coming from the west.


  • Pets must be kept on leash at all times
  • One vehicule by location
  • Visitors must leave their vehicule in the parking lot at the entrance
  • Curfew between 11 pm and 7 am
  • Campfires are permitted only in designated areas
  • Any trade or solicitation is defended on the site
  • No vehicle on the beach
  • The camper must vacate his site for 1 pm (however, due to the pandemic, we are requesting that the sites be vacated by 11:00 a.m. so that our teams can disinfect and clean the sites)
  • To extend your stay, you must register before 10 am
  • The camper who leaves his site prematurely for any reason is not entitled to reimbursement
  • It is forbidden to cut down, damage a tree or shrub, under penalty of fine
  • Tents permitted in designated areas only
